As
the closing prayer was said all of us present became amazed as a flame rose
up from the rocks and got higher as the prayer went along, one of the
youths then led us into the song which made
this vision in our minds a reality in our hearts: “ When Jesus start a
fire we duh need to matches…when Jesus start a fire we duh need no
matches… when Jesus start a fire we duh need no matches…let it burn,
let it burn, let it burn. As
the song drew to an end the flame faded away leaving us in awe at what we
just witnessed. This did not
deter us as we continued to sing praises to God asking him
to send his blessings on sweet T&T

As Moses did with the burning bush so did we as we went to investigate where this flame that we saw was coming from. We knew that God was ever present and he wanted us to know just that. This was not something natural as our investigation showed that the burning rock had nothing on or at the side of it that would burn, the only object around was a twenty-five cent at the side, which according to one of the youths was to symbolise Trinidad and Tobago. We know as youths that many people do not take us on and a lot of negativity is said about us, but there we were praising God asking him to cover our country and he showed us that he would do just that, we were the start and with courage we will take it a long way. | |
