Relief You will recall that Kelly Ann De Castro from our St. Ann’s Unit home was destroyed by fire on Monday 12th Sept. The urgent need now is to rebuild their home and we are appealing for donations or assistance with building materials. Please contact Trina Fung at 678-4242 if you are able to help.
Sangre
Grande Patronal Feast Day Our Sangre Grande
Unit found an interesting opportunity to spread the news about
CFC. They hosted a
booth at the parish Patronal Feast Day on October 2nd
and decorated it with CFC paraphernalia.
CFC bandanas and banners were complemented by
Cowboy hats and horseshoes in the CFC booth.
Our faithful spy
reported “I don’t know how much money they made but the warmth
and laughter were worth the effort, especially when CFC Arouca
Unit Head, Lloyd Theodore, led
the dancing” Apparently
contingents from CFC Arouca and CFC St. Augustine popped in to
support”. Well done CFC
that’s the team spirit and encouragement we like. Joey
& Jonathan It seems unbelievable that Joey & Jonathan have left us, they seemed so much like a part of us. Reports are that they have safely returned to the Philippines equipped with Trini accents. “Oh Gorsh man dem is real Philidadians”. And…….rumours abound that Jonathan may return in January. So keep praying for them Jesus
Explosion Jesus Explosion at Preysal was a day of blessings and ministry. We thank the youth-infused music ministry for the fabulous job they did there. Your rehearsals and spirituality produced bountiful fruit for us. (see website for photos) Handmaids
Retreat Handmaids
Retreat is almost upon us and after their inspirational Handmaids
Conference in August our Handmaids must be queuing up for place at
Caroni. So book early
and make your down payments early because CFC has to pay a down
payment for each room we reserve at Caroni Retreat Centre.
To everyone else please keep the Retreat Planning Team
in your prayers. “not by might nor by power but by My
Spirit says the Lord”.
SFC
Plans Plans are still
on stream (or on waves) for the SFC activities.
Although some of their dates are tentative, keep the events
in mind so that your swim suit and towels etc are ready, after all
every CFC member is invited: 1) Either Nov
11-13 or Nov 18-20 they will be spending the weekend at
Spiritan House Down The Islands or Ocean Star Youth Centre at
Guayaguayare.(SFC members and non-members) and 2) Sat Dec 3rd. they will host A Day of Discernment for Singles ( members and non-members) possibly at UWI Chaplaincy. 9:00am-3:00pm. Not
