T &T Update October 2006 2006 Theme: “SHOW HIS POWER AND MAJESTY TO A SINFUL NATION” (Tb 13:6/7).” Welcome to the family CFC warmly welcomes our newest members from the recently held Christian Life Program held by the St. A ugustine Unit.  “May we always be to you what God would have us be …….a family.”  Reports are that the unit was as enriched by holding the CLP as the participants were in receiving it. That’s worth noting if you are wondering whether to organize a CLP:  “the rewards far outweigh the effort”.   We continue to pray for the ongoing CLPs at Morvant and Rio Claro . For those who are interested in supporting the Rio Claro effort, which continues next weekend, please contact Sean 730-3149 or Wendy 680-9329.  If you can’t be there in person remember that your prayer and fasting is vital to our success.   Couples on Retreat   Yep the Couples had a rewarding and transformative weekend retreat on September 15th – 17th and left with a renewed appreciation for God’s plan of being made visible in our union with our spouse.  Okay …. So it’s kind of deep but you had to have been there.  Special thanks to Lennox & A ngela Toussaint who chose to spend their wedding anniversary in our company and blessed us by their witness of God’s faithfulness in each other.   Strategic Plans On September 30th and October 1st the CFC T&T Strategic Plans team met to pray and seek God’s heart on what he desires of us in 2006.  This discernment was then scripted into an implementation plan, details of which will be communicated within your units. The areas explored were Evangelisation, Work with the Poor and Pastoral Formation.     Prayer Rallies The SFCs have been holding prayer rallies at various CFC Units to break down strongholds opposed to the success of God’s work. The two held so far were in St. A ugustine and Maraval.  The next is scheduled for November 25th 1:30 pm in the parish Hall of St. Francis of A ssisi .  See you there!   Music Music On September 16th & 17th  the A rchdiocesan Youth Secretariat again held a fundraising concert.  This time it was titled “Joyful Noise 2” and among the featured performers was our own YFC Music Ministry who, as usual, witnessed to God’s glory as they ministered in song and touched the hearts of listeners.  The very next weekend, Sun September 24th, they were joined by the full CFC music ministry to provide the music at Jesus Explosion in Preysal.  What a day of renewal it was for all who attended and the music provided by CFC & its Family Ministries was a vital part of that experience.  May God continue to enrich us so that we may enrich others.   Handmaids Retreat Was it the healing session, or was it the 100% Fashion Parade, no it was the Cha Cha dancing, could it be the birthday celebration, surely it was the presentations…. we can’t choose which was the most enjoyable or refreshing part of the Handmaids Retreat?  We are sure that those who missed it should not make that mistake next year.  So plan from now for the last weekend in October 2007!   Did You Know Did you know that in this country where Roman Catholic Priests are in dire shortage, Couples for Christ has been blessed by the guiding presence of our Spiritual Director at all our Retreats and Formation Programs for the YE A R?  Fr.
