Retreat What an enjoyable weekend we had together. After the fun of “Basket turn OVER!!” as our icebreaker, we settled in to receive the Lord’s ministry through his speakers. Each talk and especially the healing ministry by Centre for Peace all convinced us that “We must make a decision to be women of joy. We must return to God and bask in His love. For more on this retreat visit our testimony page online. SFC
Plans They
were off to Guayaguayare last weekend for the SFC Beach Lime.
Despite the intermittent rains on Saturday, reports are that
they had a fine time: sun, sea, sand, rain, games, fried bake and
fine friends. On

for Singles at UWI Chaplaincy 8:30 a.m-3:30 p.m.
There
are some excellent speakers lined up including Lee Birmingham and
Fr. Christian Chambers. For further details contact Franca at

Padilla writes from the Philippines, ““As a last item we already
have our theme for 2006. It is taken from the book of Tobit. Our
theme is: “SHOW HIS POWER AND MAJESTY TO A SINFUL NATION” (Tb
13:6).” For those of us who use the Jerusalem Bible the
quotation is Tb 13:7. Frank Padilla urges…..”Start reading the
book of Tobit. It is fascinating, with many elements that have to do
with our own life in the Lord. It speaks about living a righteous
life, about the power of prayer, about caring for the poor. It
instructs us about family relationships, and about courtship and
marriage. There is spiritual warfare, there is testing and
purification, there is trial and victory.” With Much Love § Prayer filled condolences to Deborah Assing on the recent death of her father § Prayer filled condolences to Alphie Serrette on the recent death of his sister. Continued prayers for § Margaret Fraser (HOLD Tunapuna) whose health continues to be a challenge § Corrine Healey (HOLD Tunapuna) whose husband was hospitalised. § Roland Theodore, nephew of Earl and Lloyd Theodore who is in slow painful recovery since his surgery. SCRIPTURE
Reflection
"When
you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that your
brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there
before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or
sister, and then come and offer your gift." ~Matthew
5:23-24
even
one I dislike, and that I may let God develop the good in that
person.
