My Experience with CFC Youth For ChristWhat I imagined was going to be the most boring experience of my life, turned out to be the most spiritually and physically entertaining experience I had ever undergone. That morning I reluctantly walked into the church only because I made a commitment with my mother that I would attend. When the retreat was about to begin, I settled myself in the back row hoping to be non-existent to everyone. As it commenced, I sat spellbound as I listened to the Youth for Christ (YFC) members sing. I soon became entranced and began to inch up to the front rows. The beautiful voices of the YFC members put my mind at ease and spontaneously I began to sing along with them. I was in such a happy place, I felt as if I was floating on a cloud and I didn't want to leave. This retreat reassured me of God's love and His plan for me. I learnt how to connect with Jesus in a more personal way. It encouraged me to acknowledge myself as a sinner and to repent for my sins. The retreat helped me to find peace in my heart, it helped me to find that missing link in my life, but most of all, it helped me to get closer to God in ways I never thought were possible. This retreat gave me a lot of moral and spiritual values. This was the best thing that ever happened to me in my 14 years and I will treasure the memories, the experiences and the friends forever.
